Many of his cars have received widespread international acclaim. He is the man who built the Caresto T6 Roadster and V8 Speedsters, shown by Volvo at the 2005 and 2006 SEMA Shows, respectively, in Las Vegas. Since 1996, Leif Tufvesson has been running his own company Caresto, located in Ängelholm, restoring classic cars as well as designing and building Hot Rods. The T6 was actually the brainchild of a Volvo employee named Leif Tufvesson, who built his ideal hot-rod over several years from OEM Volvo parts. The engine, a turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six Swedish firm Caresto, led by former Volvo engineer and specialist builder Leif Tufvesson, chose to mark the 50th anniversary of the debut of Volvo's P1800 sports coupe with an exciting resto-mod show car that they dubbed the P1800 GT.
